About

Santa Monica Travel & Tourism and Visitor Information Centers

Santa Monica Travel & Tourism (SMTT) is a private, non-profit corporation formed in 1982 and is funded by the City of Santa Monica’s general fund and the Tourism Marketing District assessment. Under contract with the City of Santa Monica, the purpose of SMTT is to promote Santa Monica as a conference, business and leisure travel destination. As a sales and service organization, SMTT acts as the marketing representative for local businesses and the community as a whole.

Santa Monica Travel & Tourism also provides three visitor center locations. The Santa Monica Visitor Information Centers are your source for all things Santa Monica. All of our Visitor Centers provide friendly and knowledgeable staff, Visitor Guides and Maps and information on attractions, hotels, shopping, dining, museums, galleries, services and entertainment.

At our walk-in Visitor Information Center on Main Street, you will find a full display of free visitor information; Santa Monica gifts and souvenirs; tickets to area attractions; and pre-loaded TAP cards, a program that allows you to ride seamlessly across Los Angeles County by bus and rail, for purchase.
